After I had a hip replacement a year and a half ago, I did all the physical therapy recommended— and then wanted to continue with strength training and conditioning. Performance Rehab was suggested for PT, and my therapist suggested continuing with Ryan Carrizales for strength training. At first we did it by Zoom because of Covid, and when the facility re-opened, I started going to there. I have been constantly impressed with the adherence it the CDC recommended guidelines for masks. Space and sanitary conditions. I have been so impressed with Ryan’s ability to work with older adults(I don’t feel old, I just am). I have been gently encouraged and pushed with affection to achieve much more than I ever thought I could: lifting weights and using equipment that has increased my balance and flexibility. I am not bragging about meeting— I’m encouraging others to consider checking this out. They have a few locations, but the only one I’m familiar with is this one. Ryan only does individual training—not group; but, he is totally focused, extremely observant, and vigilant about safety.

Proper instruction on technique to avoid injury is a priority at ASC. This is a welcomed approach over some experiences I’ve had in the past. I didn’t appreciate the other gym’s lack of attention to details, namely cleanliness, and the 24 hour mass work out facilities doesn’t appeal to me. Other trainers seemed to repeated the same routine each visit. I appreciate the combined approach of repeating some exercises to ensure I understand the basics along with new exercises to make each visit feel like I am learning something new which has kept me engaged.
